In the second quarter of 2024, the beauty retail app market in Africa showed diverse performance across the top 5 applications. Here’s a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads and active users for each of these apps.

Elkharat Online saw a significant decline in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting from 14.5K in the first week of April, downloads dropped to around 1.9K by the end of June. This app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Source Beauty experienced fluctuating download numbers. The app began the quarter with 5.8K downloads, dipped to 3.3K in early May, and then peaked at 6K in the final week of June. Like Elkharat Online, Source Beauty also did not record any revenue during Q2 2024.

Oriflame demonstrated a relatively stable download trend, starting at 2.9K and peaking at 5.2K in late May. The app maintained a strong weekly active user base, growing from 17.7K to 24.2K over the quarter. There was no revenue generated for Oriflame during this period.

EVA Cosmetics showed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 2.3K and decreasing to about 1.7K by the end of June. Similar to other apps in this list, EVA Cosmetics did not generate any revenue during this period.
